About ICC

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is constituted in compliance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. The committee ensures a workplace free from sexual harassment and discrimination.

The ICC is responsible for receiving complaints of sexual harassment, conducting inquiries, and recommending appropriate action. We are committed to maintaining the dignity and respect of all individuals at our institution.

Our Commitment: Zero tolerance towards sexual harassment and discrimination. We ensure confidentiality, impartiality, and timely resolution of all complaints.

The committee functions with complete autonomy and follows the principles of natural justice. All proceedings are conducted with utmost confidentiality and sensitivity towards the complainant and respondent.

Prevention

Create awareness and prevent instances of sexual harassment through education, training, and policy implementation.

Complaint Handling

Receive, investigate, and address complaints of sexual harassment in a fair and timely manner.

Support & Redressal

Provide support to complainants and ensure appropriate action and remedies as per the law.

Awareness

Conduct regular workshops and training programs to educate about workplace rights and responsibilities.

Confidentiality

Maintain strict confidentiality of all complaints and proceedings to protect the dignity of all parties.

Policy Implementation

Ensure effective implementation of anti-harassment policies and monitor compliance across the institution.

Complaint Process

Step-by-step guide for filing and resolving complaints

File Complaint

Submit a written complaint to the ICC within 3 months of the incident. The complaint should include details of the incident, date, time, and any supporting evidence or witnesses.

Initial Assessment

The ICC reviews the complaint within 7 days to determine if it falls under the purview of sexual harassment and initiates the inquiry process.

Inquiry & Investigation

A thorough investigation is conducted by the committee, including recording statements from both parties and witnesses while maintaining complete confidentiality.

Findings & Report

The committee prepares a detailed inquiry report with findings and recommendations within 90 days of receiving the complaint.

Action & Closure

Based on the report, appropriate action is taken by the institution. Both parties are informed of the decision, and necessary follow-up measures are implemented.

Complainant Rights

  • Right to file a complaint within 3 months of the incident

What Constitutes Harassment

  • Unwelcome physical contact or advances
  • Demand or request for sexual favors
  • Sexually colored remarks or jokes
  • Showing pornography or obscene material
  • Any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature

Confidentiality

  • All proceedings are strictly confidential
  • Identity of complainant is protected
  • No public disclosure of inquiry details
  • Records maintained securely and privately
  • Breach of confidentiality is punishable
